Location
Camp Mohawk (closed) was located in the Fonthill Abbey Estate Forest, approximately one hundred miles southwest of London, England. The main camp area was 40 acres with Lake Bitten that was used for boating and fishing. An additional two hundred and sixty acres were available for hikes and nature exploration.
Facilities
Sites were equipped with 8-man wall tents for boys and smaller tents for leaders. Meals were served in a central dining hall. A health lodge, showers, open air Chapel, campfire circle, Trading Post, rowboats, canoes, and a large recreation hall were available for troop use. Sleeping bags and cots were furnished.
Program
Each Troop leader had an opportunity to plan his own program to fit the needs of his Scouts. Required merit badges for Eagle were offered plus handicraft and field sports. In addition to the main compsite, another 260 acres were available for hiking, nature study, conservation, and overnight camping.
