Camp Novare

Location
Camp Novare was located in a valley six miles northwest of Verona in the foothills of the Dolomite Mountains on an old Italian estate. The camp included a small lake, olive grove, and vinyard. The camp had a full aquatic program which was located at Lake Garda.
Facilities
Meals were prepared by military cooks, and tents, cots and program equipment were provided. Scouts brought their own personal and sleeping gear. There was a Trading Post, pellet rifle range, archery range, handcraft facilities and medical service at camp and in Verona.
Program
Emphasis was on qualifying Scouts for Second and First Class requirements as wll as outdoor merit badges. The full-time camp staff was well trained and ready to assist Troop Leaders in teaching the Scoutcraft Skills or coaching boys in advancement subjects
