Camp Yasou
(Greece)

Period of Operation

1969 - 1972?

Location

Camp Yasou (closed) was located near Athens, Greece, in one of the most historic sites on earth. Here was where the new and old world met.

Facilities

Everything was under canvas. Troops brought their own tentage and established separated patrol sites. Campers also brought their own bedding, eating utensils and personal gear. The Military provided the program and staff tentage, field kitchen, water, latrine facilities, medical aid and refrigeration.

Program

Swimming in crystal clear warm waters highlighted camping in Greece. Scouts attending Camp Yasou had an opportunity to pass all outdoor requirements for Second Class, First Class, Star, Life and Eagle.
